  1. Link from the FAQ section of a custom service page to this blog post
  2. Link this blog post back to the custom service page
  3. Link this blog post to the parent service category page for the custom service

Never link across service categories!

All the content should be cleanly organized in silos according to the parent Service Category.

For example, suppose you have the following Service Categories.

  • HVAC Contracting
  • Water Heater Installation
  • Heating Equipment Installation & Repair

Keep all the Custom Service pages and blog posts under the main Service Category silo. Link as much as you want within the silo , but never cross-link across silos.

For example, never link from a Custom Service page (or blog post) under Water Heater Installation to a Custom Service page (or blog post) under Heating Equipment.
